Pieter Asjes (1961) studied tax law at Leiden University. He has been a tax advisor since 1990, first for 20 years at PwC and since 2011 as a partner and founder of his own firm AsjesBisseling, now Novera. Pieter specializes in elite sports. He wrote the book Sport & Fiscus about this, but also gave lectures at Erasmus University and Nyenrode. Together with his partners, Pieter has ensured that the firm has grown to its current size. Until 2024, Pieter was a member of the General Board of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors for 8 years, where he was responsible for consultations with the Tax Authorities and small firms.

Pieter is married, has four adult children and cycles back and forth to the office from his home in Muiden. Pieter enjoys sailing with family and friends on his sloop, plays padel and gets on his road bike or mountain bike. He is a lover of music and enjoys reading.
