Laurine van Riessen
Tax Consultant
Laurine van Riessen (1987) made the transition to the tax world after a 17-year elite sports career in both speed skating and track cycling. She participated four times in the Olympic Games — both the Winter and Summer Games — and won a bronze medal in the 1000-meter speed skating during the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
With a master’s degree in Tax Law and International Sports Law, she combines her sports background with her expertise in tax issues within sports. As a Tax Consultant at Novera, she focuses, among other things, on tax guidance for athletes and sports organizations and estate planning.
Personal: Laurine is married, lives in Leiden and has one child. She enjoys all kinds of sports, traveling and quality time with family and friends. She likes to stay active — both professionally and personally.
